[ 02 ] About

Portrait of Dayo Buttons

Lagos, Nigeria — on air, on stage, and in the edit since 2013.

Dayo Buttons is a voice over artist, communication strategist, content producer, and podcaster — and a Narrative Systems Architect with over 12 years of experience across radio, podcasting, stage productions, documentaries, and digital media.

His work sits at the intersection of storytelling, culture, faith, and AI-integrated creativity — helping individuals, brands, and organizations communicate with clarity, emotion, and lasting impact. He's known for turning everyday realities into compelling narratives, and for building story-driven systems that connect deeply with audiences while staying sustainable in a fast-evolving digital world.

Over the years he has developed and hosted engaging media programs, written and performed thought-provoking monologues and stage productions, produced podcasts and audio experiences, and consulted on narrative direction for creators and organizations seeking authentic audience connection.

My job is to find the structure inside a true story — and build a system sturdy enough to carry it to an audience.

[ 03 ] How the work gets built

The narrative system

Whether it's a podcast, a stage piece, a brand's audio strategy, or an AI-assisted content engine, every project moves through the same four-stage build.

  1. 01

    Listen

Mine the raw material — interviews, data, culture, lived experience — for the moments that actually matter.

  2. 02

    Structure

Architect the arc — hook, tension, turn, and resonance — mapped before a single word is recorded.

  3. 03

    Produce

Bring it to life in the right medium: radio, podcast, stage, documentary, or digital, with editorial discipline.

  4. 04

    Sustain

Build the system to outlast the moment, so the story keeps working long after launch day.

Storytelling, to Dayo, is never just performance — it's a meeting place for culture, faith, and the questions that make us human. Every project is a chance to help a story find its meaning, structure, and resonance in an increasingly noisy world.
